Id really reccomend building one yourself / getting someone to build one for you.  The off-the-peg ones are ok, but youll find yourself lusting after a steel-framed custom one soon enough :D

Bling blinging.  Other than that, the Fuji Track (http://www.cyclesense.co.uk/products.php?plid=m1b0s294p3520) is f**king amazing value for money (youll need to add brakes to it though, same as the bianchi).  The lemond Fillmore (http://www.bonthronebikes.co.uk/17-74191-11) also has a good rep, bit more pricey though.

I want.... not the shopping cart bike, bit "omg how do I steer" for me. But I was on a bus home from bristol parkway last night and watching people cycle home. My god... I want my bike sorted out, and I want to ride so bad!

Think the first major thing I will buy with my first paycheck after a double bed, is put money away for a proper road bike.... none of this hybrid malarky! :)

i would build but logistical issues are quite a problem at the moment. perhaps when i have more time in the summer i will be able to learn, seeing as the Internet is a wonderful place to pick up information. I would be tempted to put brakes on because im not to sure about the whole backwards pressure thing yet, especially riding in urban areas where you have to ride like every car will pull out on you.

Riding without brakes in cities in my opinion is pretty iditiotic even if youve been riding fixed for years.  Youll definately want at least a front brake.  Fuji track is the way to go IMO, £265 is silly low for what you get.

Youll also want to budget for proper pedals (SPD, or at the very least clips and straps)

it said on the website it came with pedals/straps. brakes i can salvage from my old bike which died a horrible death (bottom bracket eventually, well worth the money imo).

V brakes wont fit.  Even if you tried to ghetto it, you might find the spacings are all on the piss.  And youd have ruined a £300 bike for the sake of a tenner.

Its got a hole drilled in the fork crown that you bolt a road-style calliper into.  This (http://wiggle.co.uk/ProductDetail.aspx?Cat=cycle&ProdID=5360030385&n=Shimano%20Shimano%20105%205600%20OE%20Front%20Road%20Brake) is what you want, although lots of places will do similar things cheaper which you could get instead if you were feeling like saving a bit of dollar.  As for a lever, Id go with something like this (http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/landres/IMGP1441.jpg) which is one of these (http://wiggle.co.uk/ProductDetail.aspx?Cat=cycle&ProdID=5360028451&N=Specialized%20Brake%20Lever%20Extension%20Set) after a lot of sanding + polishing

the frame wouldnt fit, we have a narrow conveyor about a foot wide for dipping.
