er... thats a db9 aye?
Title: sisters car + her husband + wet = oh noz
Post by: knighty on February 26, 2007, 23:00:46 PM
nope, DB7

she sold the DB9 to her friend who really wanted it and got the DB7 to keep her going until the new one shes on the waiting list for is built... cant remember which one it is.... its the new one that was on top gear not so long back, where they said don;t get the convertible version, the normal one is much better ?

then again... that could be a DB9 again? I can hardly tell the difference tbh, and shes always changing lol

Why not just throw it straight forward if you had enough control to choose?

because forward was an oncoming car.

things went tits up, and he had a choice between a hedge and oncoming cars.

edit: if you look at the first pic you can see where he went in one sode of the hedge and out the other

Good Save :)

Would much rather have a bit of side damage than a front ender..

Youd think a car like that would have extremely good traction control for wet weather etc!!!

It looks like hes been going too fast for the conditions. Possibly overreacted too.

Yeah but doesnt help you if you lift off the power, which if youre used to driving a FWD car, you would probably do when things started to spin.

looking at it, theres a pub and houses so possibly a 30mph limit, yet hes managed to get it all the way through a hedge.. sounds like probably going a bit too quick

lol, I still havent got all the details from him, but from what Ive heard it wasnt all his fault, sounds like someone pulled out in front of him as he overtook a bus.

.... probably was going a bit fast, but his driving is pretty good, hes off on track days twice a month in a souped up celica GT4 so his reactions shouldent be too bad.

and the traction control etc.. is adjustible.... not sure how he had it set, but the back end getting a little lively when @90mph he dropped it into 2nd gear on the motorway and overtook me :o

p.s. dont know what my sister has to say about it.... but as shes at home looking after the kids, she drives it and he pays the bills... so she cdant complain too much !

If he was overtaking a bus when there was a side road for someone to pull out then it absolutely is his fault. If the bus was stopped and he was going round it so fast he couldnt stop, same thing.
