I had an episode on the way home

Golf R32 up my arse
traffic lights, sharp corner
into second, slight drift
boost contoller letting boost build up to 1.1bar
third gear, wheels try to spin on stones at top of sliproad (High start duty on the boost controller)
look in mirror, r32 is at LEAST 15 yds away
didnt think these mr2s were as quick as that !!

Thats MX-5 poetry. I need to get my top down more.

Ive not hit the limiter for a while but I have had wheelspins, slidey-drift and sharp braking for a cat.

I think my alloys/Toyos will be arriving later  :D

You need to be <5ft tall to get the top down. Else its stones and flies in your eyes.

R32 has similar power as standard, but when rolling has 4WD sucking some
away, plus your mr2 isnt standard 8)

Nah, I dunno what convertibles youve been in but Im not much shorter than you and I just get a good breeze through my hair. Maybe its because the seats are set so low though.

From experience:

Sams MG was low but dont think he ever had the roof down whilst I was in it.

TVR Tuscan, flies & stones.

Audi TT (old), flies & stones.

Boxter (old old), flies & stones.

Maybe hot hatches are okay, the exs 206 CC wasnt too bad.

Chop me off at the knees?

Well let me put it this way, my head when Im sat is inline - maybe slightly higher - with the headrest of my seats (which incidentally makes music great now Ive uprated the headrest speakers). The headrests obviously sit lower than the top of the windscreen, or youd never get a hood up at all, as the roof runs relatively flat along to the top of the windscreen. So no flies here :)

Sunglasses, I never where em personally. I only ever got crap in my eyes once and that was a Tesco carrier bag.
