Mods, feel free to remove if its too much.
Personally i think it gets the message across fairly well, i bet the driver barely saw it coming.
Darwin award, tbh. Wonder if he lost his head?

the splat on the container suggests he did
Ook, missed that. Probably a bit of face in mix. :gag:

What about "I can see his arm"?
:P
/me runs
LMAO grammer is a little off topic
i still wonder if he had time to think anything between when/if he saw it and when he lost his head... thats terrible i know.
silly bugger.
i bet the lorry driver just got out an brushed the paint off his trailer
speed doesent kill !
driving into the back of a big f***k off lorry kills
duh :p
lol, if hed been going slower hed have not hit it
Quote from: Binary Shadowlol, if hed been going slower hed have not hit it
Says who?
For all you know he could have had a blonde in the passenger seat helping him to heaven with a hummer.
That would also explain only one head splat.
tis a good theory, and hell you may be right, its usually the going too fast to react thing tho
Beware lorries reversing at high speed ;) I know Ive been backed into twice by vans etc., ignoring any horns being blown at them.
Crappy Corvettes. bet it wouldnt have happened in a Volvo.
Youd have gotten killed quicker in a volvo since its higher with a shorter bonnet so prob for the best :)
I reversed our lorry over a clio once and didnt even feel it
^^ rofl
I watched my brother reverse his lorry over a lampost once, but thats about it (idiot thought i was beeping my horn for a joke?)
anyway, its not the speed that kills you, its the stopping ;)
p.s. nige has a clio, go get em ! ;) ;)

I agree with that ;)

Probably had instant KO on impact so he wouldnt have felt much.

I do, you can tell by the way its shoved right under the truck by the speed of impact, he was *really* overdoing it. Had he been going slower then the damage wouldnt be half as bad.
Ptobably a winker too and on his own which would also explain the single splat.
My point was, he could still have been a total muppet regardless of what speed he was doing.
At high speed you only have to be distracted for a split second - the speed he was doing was not the factor resulting in his death. You can drive fast and not automatically slam into lorries.
On the plus side for the driver - which way would you like to go into heaven? Shuffling and decepit with your drip on a trolley, or backwards at 200mph in a koenigsegg? (That was on top gear right?)
People put too much faith in AIR-BAGS.
You can see the airbag in the picture, its done its job, it deployed on impact. But that wont stop a speeding car obliterating itself against 30 tons steel !
Quote from: Clockd 0NeMy point was, he could still have been a total muppet regardless of what speed he was doing.
Though you are much less likely to do that at 30mph than 100+ which it looks like he was doing.

It was the main contributor though and the faster you go the less time you have to react. There may have been no way to avoid the impact (due to oil or water on the road for instance) but the damage is purely caused by the excessive impact speed. No matter its definitely going to be put on the report as driver error. Had he been going slower he might have survived it.
A well earned Darwin award but I feel for any relatives he left behind.
Further evidence - look between the cones on the ground...the black tire marks.
There maybe a traffic jam or other obstacle which caused the lorry driver to break quickly...the car driver probably couldnt break in time (speed) or wasnt paying attention.
For the millionth time folks:
I break your neck
you brake the car.

Well he didnt brake the car

Nah dont agree, distracted for a split second at 30mph how far have you gone, how big a bump can you have? now at 130? yeah you move that much faster, have that less space to slow down and hit that much harder

No way a truck that size will outbrake a vette lol
our motorways are covered in black marks from tyres, that coulda been from anything
I hope to gawd he wasnt getting a BJ from the passenger when this happened. Its bad enough having a c**k in your mouth, but its totally like gross and stuff when that persons neck is severed and like bleeding (and stuff). :gag:

The lines dont match up with the vettes tyres and continue under the container...
TBH I cant see any marks from the vette there and the number plate isnt a UK one, think its American with the Trucking Inc on the artics mudguard.

Youre about the only laddie around here thats not fit to ask that question.
its not the speed that kills... Its the suddon stop that does it.
Or rather its the rapid deceleration/acceleration (delete as appropriate).
Somehow I dont think speed or deceleration had anything to do with it. A lack of a head pretty much takes priority over any other internal damage tbh. :-)
it must be pretty naff when your 1/2 way through the crash, you can see whats going to happen (like the back of a lorry comming twards your head at 100mph) and theres nothing you can do about it :S
on a side note, one of the lorry drivers where my brother works fel asleep at the wheel today, took out a lampost, then the central reserve, then 3 cars... and pushed one of the cars sidways down a hill for about a hundred yards..... will prob be on the news tommorow :o
The black canopy on the right looks like its there to cover up something..
Just a thought:
dont need to be going *that* fast in a vette to do serious damage to it.
Remember, they are made from fibreglass!!!
but ouch, yes... :gag:
see, another reason not to where seat belts :p
Id rather fall out of my door at 100mph (hopefullt onto grass!) and get the stuffing kickied out of me that way then go splat into the back of the lorry.
tbh... Id prefer to be smashed to sh*te at 100mph into a steel wall (would be a "ahh.. crap." moment but instant!). than slide along grass, carving chunks out of my skin as I slide across grass, stones, sticks, until finally dying as I smash headfirst into a tree at 50mph.

 quite!
And in the car you can pop your all-time favourite tune on, or get to know God a bit better or at the very least youre sat in a nice comfy chair while you wait for your impending doom, rather than being battered about by your body interacting with all the bits of french car, glass, sticks, stones thats often found at the edges of a road.
discounting such scenarios as the truck pulled over and all the wreckage was shifted before the pic was taken, why was the vette driving on the hard shoulder?
Fastest, innit. no traffic in front of you.
Zooooooooooooooooooommmm!!!

couple of bums and bruises, no biggie, Is show that f***ing tree who was boss tbh.
