The Germans - always underrated, always underestimated... always turn it on when they need to.

Dirty lot, Sweden too. Down to 10 players...

Swedens defense is having a total breakdown. Theyre cowering and forcing the goalkeeper to work his ass off. Isaksson looks to be going off his rocker. Warranted rage.

Sweden are a poor side, of that theres no doubt (i said that after the England game) - it puts Englands chances into perspective, now, doesnt it?
The defence seems to get it together first to end of first period.

I am not to pleased with the referee, Ljungberg was pulled down and it shouldve been a penalty in the next second Lucic got a warning for virtually nothing !!!!
It is Germany at home though :( what to do ?

Welcome to the club. Bizarre reffing cost the US their last match. Not that theyre playing great, but come on...beaten by Ghana?? :faint:
Lucic may have been the victim of zealous reffing, but Swedens still playing badly like a cringing dog.
That open goal with a Swedish striker down 2m from the ball made me cringe in the 40th minute.

Not really, the English game was strateigic, let Sweden go up against Germany first and the english get a weaker team to play so they get through to the next round.

I dont follow your logic, there.
They didnt need to win, a draw was enough.
Anyway they were playing against Svens home team.
TBH I would have prefferred them to loose if it had meant Owen had stayed uninjured and playable

OK, i geddit, but the way england went after the game, it appeared they were going for the win - for morale if nothing else...
Over and out for sweden to bad they were sleeping in the first period, if they had played like in second half with 10
players in the first it wouldve been different.
/hands tissues to maxi and bear... :(
No biggy but it is always fun to see your home team in the finals though.
Now I hope Argentina or Brasil wins.

Everyone loves when they win, but I do think the Dutch and Germany have a good chance this year. The South Americans seem a little subpar this cup.

Lol - the pundits were saying Germany were crap/didnt have a chance this year. How wrong they were...

True. The entire complexion of the tournament could turn completely on its head.
Germany might start being really lucky in every match they play and England might start playing exciting, world-class football to a professional standard...
