Well spotted!  It was one of my dads first ever cars, kept mainly for sentimental value.  Hes planning on restoring it (again) eventually, but hes been saying that for years :D

Anyway, Ive forwarded that link to him.  Adding more weight to my argument that we should build one of these instead...

Caterhams are amazing.

Clicky (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2207051654541727226&q=castle+combe)

The turn-in is just astonishingly crisp and sharp and the overall cornering ability is incredible!!!

You cant beat a lightweight car!

Only nice thing about that MG is that it is the same age as me just like my 52 BSA 500cc :)

And the fact that theyre pretty stunning (http://www.mgcars.org.uk/pics/thoensen52td.jpg) when theyre nicely restored.

I still wouldnt have one though, could buy a decent 2nd hand TVR or a nice new caterham for the same money as restoring it

If you went back 40 years, yes.  Were in the 2006 now though and Caterham have had the rights to the 7 for decades :)
