Title: The New Car - Work List
Post by: soopahfly on February 27, 2007, 10:53:20 AM
Got the new car yesterday, a 1997 Fiat Cinquecento sporting.

Good fun, nice and nippy, but It appears i have a few minor tasks.

1. Fix passenger seat adjuster bar.  I snapped that when trying to adjust the seat.
2. Wire switched ignition live to turn the HU off when the ignitions off.

3. Make aftermarket steering wheel point same way as car wheels.

4. Find out what the rattle is at tick over.  It sounds like somethings loose.

5. Make handbrake actually hold the car (common problem, easy fix)

6. Passenger window rubber needs replacing (bit at the bottom of the window.)
Other than that, its seems pretty good.  Cant complain for Ã,£400!

Ã,£400 is a good price for that! What insurance group is the Sporting?

And I agree with Red, Pics!

Im pretty sure my brothers old cinq had that problem, I believe it needed a new brake cable in the end.

IIRC they have that silly setup where there are 2 cables in a "T" configuration.  The one that runs over the axle stretches, and they are a pain in the arse to change.

Not bothered about what you say eggonline[/i], the whole point of it is cheap motoring.  Im quite comfortable with my sexuality, and whenever I feel the need for a bit more power, theres always the astra.
