I enjoyed the episode. Nothing of any practical use except the 1 series M which was a very cool review or a very good car.

That's not really practical either when you think that it's a £40k car  At least the Golf GTI has always been an affordable motor.

Possibly, but relatively speaking 40k is a hell of a lot more practical than a 300k or 500k car. I'll allow myself to aim for an 1M for now.

*looks at car loans*

That truck looks like something Duke would drive.
Look at that logo on the side :D  Just needs to be called something like "Mighty Foot"

Been avoiding this thread as I've been an episode behind, caught up now, IMO this series has picked up quite a bit compared to the last, nice to see a lot more focus on actual cars and not just random rubbish

Cars are pretty boring to be fair.

More random rubbish is what's needed.

I never thought i would say this but i would i have to agree, i guess you get so used to the random rubbish that now i find myself watching Topgear on Iplayer so i can skip the boring car reviews, unless its something really special.

I thought the last episode was a good example of of their few truly practical recommendation pieces (2nd hand vs new) that wasn't another dull roadtest. If all of the 'all car' episodes were as good as that it would be much better.

To be fair your wrong cars are great! :P ...but a balance between the 2 is needed to keep everybody happy  :)

the sooner they dump (or cut short) the start in a reasonably priced car the better !

I could understand if it was season 1, where the "stars" might get them more/new viewers.... but in season 27 or whatever it is ?  everyone in the uk already knows exactly what top gear is and what to expect....

I always wqatch online.... and I always skip past the SIARPC bit....  they never have anyone that intrestong on anymore anyway ?

I always skip it too now as of last series, bores the crap out of me, I gave the 'comedian' who came on in the last episode 1 minute to be amusing.  He made a crap joke about how they hire a bloke to herd the attractive women to the front, it was a poor joke but got the usual hyena laughs, he could have made it a lot better by looking round and saying how he wasn't doing a good job ;D

:stupid: SIARPC annoys me too - I'd rather they just make the show 10mins shorter.

Also lately the track reviews are pissing me off, all the fuzzy squiggly camera tricks they do are just irritating.

I don't mind them trying to spice up the reviews a bit, what bores with them (the supercar ones 90% of the time) is that its always the same bland assessment, 8 mins of praise and wonder then 2 mins of "aha!, but.." slagging it off to close (or vice versa and repeat ad infinitum). I think what makes the average/cheap car reviews so much better is that they go out of their way to make those different. But then I guess there is always going to be a formula to a car review as there is only so much you can say or compare with.

Good to see that some people do actually drive these things, most are just sat in showrooms, garages and warehouses!

It's a shame they didn't show you more of the stations from the home made trains episode, they're on a heritage line and are pretty amazing as it's like going back in time, I went to a beer festival they had literally on the loughborough platform, even the adverts are cool ;D
