Quick idea. Would it be possible to pull the turbo out of a 1.6 205 GTi engine and place in a Dyno Supercharger? Main reason is to try and get rid of any lag the turbo has and keep a constant flow rather than having to rebuild up momentum in the turbo.
Any idea on the kind of work that would be needed for it to be pulled off?

Youd need to find a suitable sc & then probably get custom manifolds to fit it & then work out a way of hooking it up to the crank with the right pulley ratio and then get it tuned.
/I know theres a few tricks for reducing lag (like fitting a smaller turbo) but I dont know the details, it may be worth googling a bit - also theres probably the Pug equivilant of Vmax (http://www.vmaxscart.co.uk/) lurking somewhere.

I seem to remember one company sold an electrically powered supercharger so no problem hooking it up. Still going to be expensive though :/
just FYI electric SCs are as useful as a chocolate teapot, they dont produce anywhere near enough air movement and generally cause a restriction rather than being helpful
The Easton SC from the Mini seems to be a popular one to use from what I can see, I also think its good for an engine up to ~1.8l.
You could also bi-turbo it.... get a T2 for quick low end power, then the standard one for higher end power?

A pretty worthless conversion to be honest.
Save the dough and get a D6C from a wrecked 405 Mi16 - NOT a BX 16 Valve, as for a start it has an 8 branch exhaust manifold that wont fit (The 405 having a 4 branch) and youll be starting from 160hp.
