Title: You may or may not know
Post by: neXus on July 09, 2006, 00:03:20 AM
Try this

If you have the old button car lock on your key or part of your key find the max range where you can not lock and unlock your car, find that step back/forward point.

Step back out of range and put it to your head and press the button.

Weird I was talking to my gf about this about an hour as we were leaving the cinema, got my car to unlock from 200 yards away. Coincidence I should come online and see a thread about the same thing!

Spooky, lol.

I showed my friend in Tescos car park and she would not believe me, she managed to open it from further away them me and she still thought it was some kind of trick. I said she had a big head and so it was working better, got a slap for that, lol.

The real impressive trick is to bounce it off your crotch from half a mile away

with the old analogue mobile phone syou could get a _very_ good signal boost by making a quick call to someone you knew wouldnt pick up, then pressing the button while the signal was going out.

Unforutnately my central locking uses an Infra-Red sensor, not radio signals.

Madrocker does this trick a lot with his mini car alarm.  Usually when we come out of bowling/cinema and all you can hear is the alarm set/reset beeping in the distance from where the car is parked.  :-)

remember seeing this on a program about 10 years ago or so

they put it down to the added height IIRC
The monitored it and found no difference in signal

Works best with the key shoved in your ear...

Does anyone think that saying that was unwise?...

Any claims of damage from being stupid enough to follow my instructions are going to be ignored
