Title: 360 on a monitor
Post by: Madrocker on October 10, 2007, 18:19:12 PM
I havent got a telly in my room and was looking at the VGA cable for the 360, but the thing is it looks like the male connecter you plug into your vidio card.

I have a standard CRT monitor and just wondered if it needed a female port on your monitor or just plugs into the cable you would normly put in the pc?

Cheers Dave.

The official cable comes with a gender bender.  I wouldnt bother with a 3rd party cable.

yes, or straight into the monitor if the lead is detatchable.
you may also need an RCA lead extender for the sound, if your not using the digital.

Ive got the Official lead running into a KVM.

I do the same but with the hdmi out on my elite to dvi and the sound the same and its really cool
Only problem is my dell lcd does not have that dhcp decoder and It wont let me play movies which is kind of annoying.
