I havent got a telly in my room and was looking at the VGA cable for the 360, but the thing is it looks like the male connecter you plug into your vidio card.
I have a standard CRT monitor and just wondered if it needed a female port on your monitor or just plugs into the cable you would normly put in the pc?
Cheers Dave.
The official cable comes with a gender bender. I wouldnt bother with a 3rd party cable.

yes, or straight into the monitor if the lead is detatchable.
you may also need an RCA lead extender for the sound, if your not using the digital.
Ive got the Official lead running into a KVM.
i use the Microshaft VGA lead as well on my TFT and optical out to my stereo.. all good here

iiyama crt so just unscrewed the cable at the monitor and plugged in, ran pc to it over RCA connectors so i can use it as my second screen ;)
