Think I'll stick with my trusty NDS until they drop in price (by half :P)

Could buy one from the states but with nintendo now region locking them fully you would have to import every game for the 3DS, god knows why they did that, beauty of the DS/DSi was it wasn't region locked. I got a mass of imported games for the DS that are useless with the 3DS.

Other than that, it's priced higher than all consoles, the games are to be £39.99 rrp,3 hours battery life and region locked. Think I will wait for a revision od a 3DS lite equivilent, better battery and atleast another 69+ quid off the price.

No idea, but looks much prettier than the actual 3DS IMO..

I really don't want to spend £200 on a handheld console, but I've just got back from an event Nintendo are doing and played on a few games on the 3DS and the 3D effect was much better than I was expecting.

Now I am really tempted to get one, but may wait until the drop in price a little before buying.

That means the NGP will be £299 at least ^^

Games on both platforms will probably be the same as console prices as well.
Daft.
Least the NGP is looking to be finally something you play on console and over the cloud have your save game and just pick up right on the handheled where you left off.
Of course Sony really need to do deals so game makers make a ps3 and either it comes with the NGP version for free (like steam does with mac to pc) or at least at a very reduced price.

Anyway on to the 3DS - The 3d is good. IF you look head on and do not move your 3DS or your head to much. Considering some games envolve moving the console around too it kind of spoils it.
The 3D is not the amazing feature about that handheld. It is a good update though ignoring the 3D. IF they did not have the 3D in there and lowered the price it would be a decent upgrade and would sell just as well.

Didn't really have any problems with viewing the 3DS consoles from different angles. They 3D seemed to work well no matter where I looked at it from, didn't need to be head on and I played about 10 different games on them.

The upgraded graphics are great on it though and games I played included Street Fighter 4, Res Evil 5, Zelda, Kid Icarus, as well as others. There was also an augmented reality game on show too.

So did anyone bother then? Poor launch titles and battery life pretty much killed it dead for me :dunno:

I won't be bothering. From what I have heard, the 3D is pretty poor and there have been quite a few reports of headaches and nausea...

The price is just plain stupid. I have heard it reported the manufacture price is $100 per unit.

No way, I shan't hear of this, I will not believe for one second that a culturally diverse plethora of mid-twenties paid actors in their adverts would lie about how amazing it is  :disappointed:

I have one. It's amazing. The AR Cards thing built in literally makes people squeal.

Got Pilotwings with it, which is awesome. Looking forward to Mario Kart.

Full 3D for most people seems to be lasting 10 minutes on average before eyes hurting or more. Often people turning it down.
Most of the media reviewers all seem to have 3D off for pretty much most games.

It is a gimmic more then anything else, they say it is actually pretty decent 3D even considering glasses it creates a non dulled effect and while narrow it is good BUT it just messes up your brain.

If Nintendo created this with No 3D and just that higher resolution larger screen and normal camera and then cut the cost - It would sell well. I am sure this will but the use and ones listed on ebay will be high I think.

No one has mentioned the games - PRICEY!

I thin the PSP2 while an amazing peace of kit will also fail. The Console will cost to much and the games will cost to much and you will look at them and think you can get a $5 on your tablet or phone and be happy for your mobile gaming AND if you are going to by a decent game your going to spend the money on that new xbox360 or PS3 title and have it on a big ass screen in 5.1.

I saw an add here for the 3DS today saying "Out Now" and never realised it was out here yet. No fan fair really, did not see any media news on it here. Just seems to have slipped out.
