I have been given a P4 and mobo out of a packard bell of some description, but cant for the life of me find and drivers for it.
No sound ect, the model number on the mobo is GA-8SIML REV 1.0.
Ive found what i thought was the drivers for it (gigabite mobo ones) but there not.
Any ideas.
Packard Bell website would be a start.. they usually support their systems well. takes a lot of poking about to find what you need though

If not then im not sure. You have got the jumpers over the sound pins yes?

there the ones I tryed in the first place.
have you checked that the board has jumpers on the sound pins?
Most packard bell machines have front audio, and most older motherboards dont work unless they are linked through. if they are linked through then i would just download the Realtek drivers and install themdirect from realtek.
lazy bastard.. I bet you sit on your arse all day & scrounge dole
