Title: Another ADSL Recommendation thread
Post by: Beaker on July 03, 2007, 18:30:18 PM
Im moving, i need a broadband supplier that doesnt F*** around.  I want no limits, and at least 2Mb downstream (Faster is fine).  There is already a working BT line, so any IP Stream supplier is ok. However there is also the option to go on Be* or Bulldog.  Im not too keen on Bulldog, but Be* look like a possibility.  Any other reccomendations?

i.e Nildram/Bulldog?

Im not too sure about them.  A lot of our customers at work have recently moved over to them, and they range between utter crap and excellent.

Bulldog & Nildram is actually owned by pipex now its only the billing that is still at and t or something

Pipex and their phone package will do you well I love the service, unlimited and no silly use to speed thing or anything
Bar the customer services (but you get that with large companies) Sky broadband and the phone seems to be speedy and also a good deal

On a side not Virgin Media is being sold to one of those equity firms

Well from what you have said before and others they seem to have got their broadband and not had the right people to run it and had no real clue or ability go cope with it and so selling it to someone who may do a better job and while I am still very wary and I do ponder these equity companies they do seem to (for now) do good to what they buy

The product was fine until they decided to "Improve" the service with traffic management that amoung other things sent my pings to East Coast game servers shot up to 400ms and more.  Even on the of Freakserve line i had 250ms or less pings.
