Assassins Creed looks really nice, I watched the gameplay video where they showed off the early game play footage.

It looks like a lot of other xbox 360 games but unlike others and other stealth games it has many features that are interesting me.

Watch the in game video

Since its Ubisoft you get the feel of both splinter cell and prince of persa and it seems to work really well.
You have the movment and animation that looks very smooth but its how you can use the full models of all the buildings around you, everything, the proper free running style climb around.

But like some games before it the crowed the npcs is very clever, running around trying to get through people or barge around seems very cool, All this aninmation seems very solid and looks really cool.

When the video shows you the target thats nothing new helps you find your target but the next thing that I think will be a nice feature of the game - Social Stealth

Going away form a assassin using the shadows to kill your target this game uses the crowd and npcs to mimmic certain npcs actions and  as you can see looking like a monk, reading abotu the game it hints to changing the clothes slighty each mission as well for this effect, looks very good.
Crowd then becoming again "dynamic" as the nice lady says and could hinder your escape if your not carefull.

The combat itself they explain the combat approach but you can tell that part of the game is not yet done to the level of the other parts of the game since the solidness and animation kind of lacks there but its early days.

Keep your eyes out for this one, lots of metal gear, splinter sell and p of p fans on these forums and looks a nice game.

PS3 and Wii soon out and both will haev some nice games but being early I think the 360 is starting to shine now in terms of games on the way, there are some reallly nice looking and play (using the 3 core cpu to  get more dynamics to the game) on the way so a lot of interest there. The guy who mad Final Fantasy his new 360 game also looks nice.

Anyone else got this?

I picked it up with some Chrimbo money and so far Im really enjoying it. Seems to have got mixed reviews but the ones that have been positive have been from those who played it like an Assassin, ie not a hack and slash.

On the second mission and what it really reminds me of is a 12th century Crackdown :)

Animation is gorgeous, controls are in depth and take a while to master, but then considering the subject matter thats no bad thing.

Only thing annoying is the awful map which tells you approximately sod all, they need to get Google in to get some nice aeriel shots :)

Be prepared to get very bored.  It looks fantastic but it is so repetitive.  Soon you will learn block and counter, but later on it stops working and you just knock the attacker down.

The map isnt so bad, but make sure you do all the side quests before moving on because if you decide to go back and do them all you have to do the entire memory map again.

On the whole its a solid game, however it could have been an excellent game... :(

If Jade has anything to do with the sequels then we can write them off. :-/

I only have 2 main criticisms for what is a stunning game, 2 big criticisms.

1, It should have been called Assasins "faffing around" Creed.  Far to much messing around, not enough assasinations, even after killing them they ramble on.

2, Why did you have to start EVERY single mission on the top of that bloody mountain.

I get the feeling any sequal will be a modern day version with Desmond.

Someones been watching the Zero Punctuation review :P

To be honest, I spend most of my time in Crackdown just jumping between buildings and looking for orbs rather than doing missions, so I guess that jumping between buildings and looking for flags may be the reason I play this game anyway :)

Its a great game and definately one of my favourite of the moment, along with Mass Effect and Guitar Hero 3. Its a very well made game and plays great.
