I am running aston shell , quite nice has anyone here tried it ?

Tried it and hated it. Didnt speed up XP in any noticeable way, but made it more difficult to use. Absolute crap.
On the other hand, I dont mind something like Blackbox for windows.
Neither are of real benefit, unless youre running XP on a Vietnam era tube laptop.
Well it works fine, got hold of 25 themes and found one good one it is like litestep it takes some tinkering.
It does take less RAM though and apps starts faster.
Hmm, My XP install idles at around 100mb, and Firefox starts in 2 seconds. Good enough.
I do often run Openbox under Ubuntu when editing photos, as it idles at around 75mb, and Ive only got 256mb installed on either box.
I had an LiteStep installation on a 486 with w98 it was just great I did my own buttons etc. and it was a bitch setting up
but ran great and on low RAM.
The only thing faster on the 486 was to run Total Commander as a shell :)
Have not tried that in XP, might work.
