Tried asking on XBMC forums to no avail. Wonder if anyone here as any idea what might be up, or anything I can try.
I have a working XBMCbuntu Eden install. I bought an Novatech ATI Radeon HD 5450 to go with it but when I install it XBMCbuntu wont boot. I see the following instead of XBMC / desktop. The card works fine in another Windows box.

Not sure if I should install some drivers? Or if there's anything I can do to get to the desktop once I've seen all this boot log.
I've only dabbled with Ubuntu and it might be a total n00b suggestion you've already heard/aware of, but I seem to recall there is a boot switch option for the graphics mode/drivers it loads? Maybe you need to change that.
Similar to what this thread mentions:

do you get a command prompt?
if you do type startx
also try swapping sessions - think its ctrl+a number, or alt+ a number.
it is prob a driver issue - is ubuntu version the same as xbmc live?
this any help http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1664919 (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1664919)
