It's the most ludicrous premise for a film but it sets itself up for lots of military hardware porn and big explosions. I'm looking forward to enjoying them.

Yep, It worth watching just to see an Iowa class battleship vs Aliens.

Definitely leave your brain at the door before watching though.

Looks like the sort of thing where is is going to be no middle ground either it will suck or be epic!

Not when your a certain level of actor. They send you the script and ask you to be in the movie. They go for screen reads etc and cast can always change but They are being asked to to play the role. It is up to them.

I think neXus was saying the actor can be often heavily influenced when wanted for a part and might potentially accept a role they were not interested in, perhaps begrudgingly, as opposed to chasing a part they really want. You never really know what deal the actor strikes with producers for other films, follow-ups, etc on the basis of a film.

Maybe it is my childish side coming out, liking huge boats, guns and spaceships but I am really looking forward to it.

I doubt Neeson would have done it unless it was a good/interesting script.

Bet his time filming and actual lines are pretty short and got paid a sh*t load for it.

Not every film has to be a thought provoking journey of discovery, that leaves you all the better for the experience... sometimes you just want to she sh*t get blown up.
