It is awesome. Ive only got through to the second "stage" but I am seriously in love.

Wish I had the 40" LCD already, but need to get the new floor put down first. Looks great at 720p on the 26", but 1080p at 40" with surround will probably be worth a replay.

3200+
6800GT
24" LCD

Worth me getting?  Or would it just serve as another crushing reminder that my pc just doesnt cut the mustard any more?

This is why Ive pretty much given up on PC gaming.

PC: "Ooohh, I wonder if I have enough RAM/Graphics power/free space" Install, update drivers, configure graphics options, use tiny 19" monitor.

Console: Open drawer, insert disc, close drawer, play on 40" at 1920x1080 at solid 60FPS.

shame 1 of my controllers is stuff!

3rd console and now 1 of the sticks on my usual controller is refusing to center properly :( arse!

id not mind if i played like every nite.. but i dont

Sums up the game, superb atmosphere and storyline, but its just an FPS at the end of the day.

Agree with Matt and White Giant - looks beautiful and its really freaky but after playing the demo from live I wont be buying. The gameplay just isnt there for me .

to be fair, most serious PC gamers dont do that, they already know their PC is powerful enough or not.

TBH I think my 360 looks better on my old acer 19" widescreen monitor than it does at the same res on a circa 32" tv :whoops:

After reading a review of this which basically says its the greatest thing ever I feel inclined to try it again. Might have to d/l the demo again.

Dont get me wrong its a great game, having completed it I thoroughly enjoyed it, its an interesting story and the environment is fantastic, but this doesnt draw from the fact its another FPS. Furthermore upon completion I doubt you will play it again, especially with no multiplayer.

Its a security issue with the PC version - harmless apparently but it does alter the system so people arent happy. Xbox 360 version is fine as far as Im aware.

Sod it, I loved the demo so Ive ordered it anyway.  I figure Ill be reformatting in the near future anyway and someone will probably make a rootkit remover and cracked exe for it soon enough anyway.

Alter the system in what way?
