Most people dont need a DVD writer, its just something that comes with their compy and looks nice on paper. A DVD reader though is useful even if you just use it to watch films.

I think I have a couple of games on DVD too :/

I remember the days when the top notch DVD burners drives that had just come out were Ã,£300 odd.  Give it a year and will be under Ã,£100.
