Windows 98 and good ridance IMO (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v135/bubblefizz/emoticons/wave2.gif)
I can still boot my puter into 98 as I have some programs that will not run in XP (left a small partions on one of my HDDs) :) and my 486 @ 120 would have a hard time with XP I believe.

Its caused us a nightmare here. All of our POS equipment is Win98 based. Having to work like a gimp to try and get the POS software to work on XP.
Mission.

Should have tried Windoze 1.0 then. I was still often dropping into dos to do things with 3.1.
1.0 was pretty dreadful tbh youre quite right about that
I still use Win 98 as its the only OS POCSAG will work with!
Ive used 98 all of a month. Overwrote it with Suse 7.2, knowing nothing about puters really, just that I HATED that motherf*****g paper clip. Rot in hell, you bitch! :)
? The paperclip is part of Office, not windows. And you can get rid of it (which you need to  )

yeah, but in office 97 it turns itself back on again quite often. Its bloody annoying. that is one thing MS did right, Kill the bastard paperclip!
I found that, as part of the Office installation process, you can make the Office Assistant "Unavailable". And that gives it the cyanide pill, most satisfactorily

Yep, Office installs a ton of similar crap no one wants or needs, rid of it during the advanced installation and all will be well. :-)
