I moved back to NTL, I expected them connecting up my old stuff, they didnt, I got a new cable modem, works fine, but the ruoter I used on my old NTL doest work now, anyone got any ideas.

Telewest now isnt it? (Or uses the same setups). Unplug your cable modem, restart your router, then plug the cablemodem back in. May have to clone the MAC from your PC though.

I did that, but I did it again and now it works. THANKS.
Just as a note to anyone reading, you dont need to register/Clone MAC addresses on telewest anymore, I guess they saw that there was too much time setting up MAC addresses

i got mine 2 weeks ago, i booted up with the laptop 1st, just to make sure it worked. Then it refused to let me use the router until i cloned the addy :\
strange, Ive not had any such problems with netgear, linksys and a couple of budget brand routers

Im on a WRT54GS with the latest firmware, also tried it with the 3Com and the crappy Pace branded thing.
Im on the 54GS also although mines running the DD-WRT Firmware, and previously I had a netgear running on this connection. Im in bristol, so dont know wether its different where you are? but Ive done quite a few installs around bristol.
Anyway, not that it really matters as hes got it working now..
