Of course they have a bearing on real life. People live and die playing them, make careers out them, gather in their 10s of thousands to watch and play them. If this isnt real life, Id like to know what kind of parallel universe you are living in.

Sorry Serious but that is probably one of the stupidest things anyone has said here. You really think that, how? Things have already been mentioned but at the very start of each of those you mention, the history of how they began to what they are now is 100% part of life. It is Real life, people play them... You could go on but if you do not like these sports that is fair enough, but to say that is just stupid.

I just like to point out the bloke who just brought a space station in project entropia for $300,000.

I would suggest the game for him is his life seeing as though he used his real money to invest to make more real life money!
