Title: Converting firewire to USB2.0 ?
Post by: addictweb on October 16, 2007, 15:04:40 PM
I have a mac with two firewire ports and no USB2.0 ports, does anyone know a way of connecting USB2.0 devices to a firewire port?

Any converters available? And USB2.0 firewire hubs?

I cant seem to find a solution.

Seems that you can convert firewire items to run on USB but not the other way around.

What a pain. Feels like there should be a solution but there doesnt seem to be.

Guess its not a common enough issue.

its the fact that theyre competing standards.

You cant, for example, convert a bluray player to play hddvd

Firewire is probably marginally better anyway. What are you using it for?
