Ok, now I'm actually excited.
The trailer leaves me feeling a little underwhelmed compared to my excitement for the second film, I just hope this is because all the goodness is being spared from going into the trailer and this really is just to tease everyone.
I was more curious about Tom Hardy's Bane voice and Catwoman's personality with Anne Hathaway. I'm confident he can produce a polished film, but it certainly has something to live up to.

I was totally the opposite. Nolan keeps the action tight lipped in his trailers, he always properly teases you. This seems much more of a deep movie taken some of the positive elements from inception.
I'll be there in the cinema as soon as this comes out.
pfft, main bad guy is blatantly just Vernon Wells in weird science with a mask on
(http://quixotando.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/weird-science-vernon-wells.jpg)
That's just Vernon Wells day to day

They should make an 18 rated real hard core weird science remake. If I made her I would CERTAINLY NOT be having a shower with bottoms on with her.

I don't think its going to be the same without Heath Ledger making an appearance. :(
Can't wait for this to come out next week, I've been looking forward to it more recently, I think the build up of featurettes and things has done it for me, I think the film is going to really shine.
Today the full soundtrack is available for a listen, I've got it on now and it's pretty tense and gives a real sense of foreboding.

Please feel free to post any photos of yourself in short skirt, high heels and carrying a handbag you happen to have available. I am sure the girls will be duly impressed, or not... ;D

No idea but it's annoying, I thought we were pretty much on global launch dates now! I'm really wanting to see this!
Film of the year, 5 w00ts, etc. Nolan can do no wrong in my book. :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
We will see about the "do no wrong" when superman comes out next year.
I went to see it with mates tonight (Rivkid included) and loved the film. Can't wait until Nightshade/Nightwing. Also aircon was broken, un comfortabley hot (I didn't mind but everyone else was fussed) = Money back and a free ticket to go see something else (or batman again in my case).
Win.

My heart was going from after 30 minutes in. Unsure from the ending just because he was wrapping it up as it were.
I think it was fantastic and Hans Zimmer can do wrong.
Him and Nolan just makes things epic. Them together you even have it where the scene and the music are louder and more focal then the actual charcters sometimes.

So what is next for Nolan, I can not wait to see what he will do? There are no over DC Heroes that would suit Nolan's style, yeah he co-wrote Superman and has had input through filming but he will likely to another unique movie next. You think he will do superman 2?
Stunning, that is all.
I have to be honest and say I didn't really like the Dark Knight at all. I liked the Joker and I like Christopher Nolan as a director, I just wasn't drawn into it (but then, this isn't exactly my favourite genre of film) I really wasn't expecting much from this one, in fact I was expecting to be bored for hours and was only going as it was Nige's bday present, but I have to say I really enjoyed it! I don't think there was a moment where I was bored but there was one moment I had to groan at with a character I won't reveal for the people who haven't watched it.

I don't know how you weren't bothered!! It was RIDICULOUSLY HOT - and someone kept farting really eggy bomb drops near me all through the film... not good!! Although I did enjoy the nice mob mentality at the end and shouting at the manager - in fairness he deserved it!
I really liked the film. It was much better than The Dark Knight - although I was struggling to take Bane seriously! Its made me want to watch the other two again - hopefully I'll enjoy TDK more this time around....
Great film and all but certainly didn't live up to the hype. No real sense of peril and some obvious plot twists. I think Mr Nolan missed a trick on this one unfortunately, as far as the superhero wars go Avengers beats it by a long mile, and Spiderman isn't far off either.
Bah. Someone on Youtube went and completely spoiled the ending for me:

I guess most of you know this already but some US lunatic decided to massacre a load of cinema goers at a midnight showing.

Not exactly the publicity they wanted.
A sad event in film history :(

Take it back - I rewatched TDK and its actually really good. I mustn't have been in the mood first time around.
Batman Begins is still the best though IMO

I think Begins is the best as well. The Dark Knight is the worst of the trilogy, with Rises being second to Begins. That's not to say they're not all superb, but the first one really stands head and shoulders above the rest in my opinion.
