Title: DFI UT LanParty Ultra-D BIOS (got one handy?)
Post by: ERU on November 04, 2006, 23:46:19 PM
Just flashed a BIOS that didnt work and killed my very expensive computer - opps. I only just recovered it from a boot sector death too, as i had WinXP on there for 5+ years & god knows what applications. Last week i had a water leak too; so its been a bad month. Good job i havent been using it :)

Anyone got a spare BIOS? I need an exact copy of a DFI UT LanParty Ultra-D. Or does anyone know where i can but one? I got the file (http://us.dfi.com.tw/Support/Download/bios_download_us.jsp?PRODUCT_ID=3471&STATUS_FLAG=A&SITE=US) ready to flash.

Have you tried the DFI forums (http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/index.php?)?  Someone there would probably be able to help you.

Recommened the motrhgerboard to a friend, which he quickly bought after a few prompts and I hot swapped it in the end :)
A simple process if anyone is scared of trying but needs to have a go. JUST BE CAREFUL!

I once killed a bios chip on a mobo, bought the same one from Ebuyer, then returned it saying it wouldnt boot. Simple chip swap & £5 later and it was all good.
