Neato. Is it coming out this year? :)
Blizzard are already swimming in cash, together with this and SC II theyll have enough money to buy their own country. :P

WAY WAY WAY off
Next Year.
Starcraft 2 this year (announced ages ago) and not out yet but set for November
Blizzard - SLOW developers.

They are the ideal that all pc developers should be.

Pity EA has either bought out or destroyed the rest of the market.

Only a couple of good devs left.

Not really, their news and information is terrable and they are some of the most boring developers out there.

People who talk about EA as they were a few years ago are old hat on their information tbh because EA buy and let the developers run how they like these days. EA Mythic a perfect example of that.

Yes, they are slowly realising what they did was a bad idea, still doesnt excuse them for killing off some of the best developers before they realised what they did.

The couple of developers they have left "untouched" are still pressured by EA for fast releases, and that isnt my opinion that has been said by a few of the lead devs from Mythic and Bioware. Their own departments are still releasing half finished buggy games that should have had at least 6 months more dev time to iron things out.

Yes, they arent the terrible company which destroyed westwood (I will never forgive them for that), but they are still a company far too focused on the quick buck rather than making high end games. The only reason they are changing is because they have noticed how damaging their lacklustre games have been to their brand image.

That is odd as I do not think this is true because the pc version of bioshock has been delayed twice by bioware and not forced out by EA and the same goes with WAR by EA Mythic. No release date was set till late in the day for bioshock on the 360 also.

This applies to their sport element 100% but not in other areas any more in terms of owned companies, in house this may be the case but if they just provide money for companies and more or less leave them be then that is cool.

Lots of people who like blizzard seem to forget they are an owned company and one actualy worse then EA in what they do with games companies and are themselves forcing blizzards had, they have said the next expansion will be this year, so with starcraft 2 and many have got the sense blizzard are not best happy since it looks like both if they had anything to say would be next year releases.

I was going to wait for pre-order at Amazon as I have vouchers to cover it but they are slow on this and don't have it available (so I'll probably blow those on the Star Trek:TNG BDs)

http://www.game.co.uk/en/diablo-iii-collectors-edition-167121?pageSize=20&searchTerm=diablo%203 (http://www.game.co.uk/en/diablo-iii-collectors-edition-167121?pageSize=20&searchTerm=diablo%203)

http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/28899067/Diablo-3-Collector-Edition/Product.html?searchtype=allproducts&searchsource=0&searchstring=diablo+3&urlrefer=search (http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/28899067/Diablo-3-Collector-Edition/Product.html?searchtype=allproducts&searchsource=0&searchstring=diablo+3&urlrefer=search)

cheaper here but apparently they take money on order (they seem a bit pikey too?) http://www.gamestop.co.uk/39621_PC_Diablo_III_Collectors_Edition.aspx (http://www.gamestop.co.uk/39621_PC_Diablo_III_Collectors_Edition.aspx)

Play pre-order for me. :ptu:

That's where I've got my pre-order, ordered it back in October 2008 when it was £24.99, just checked and its £34.99 :D

The Collectors edition looks nice but really can't justify spending that much so just the vanilla version for me.

Finally!

Just got an email off play saying they'll try and get it to me on release day I can't really see that happening but still can't wait ages since we've had a good hack n slash, Dungeon Siege 3 wasn't too bad but this should be a bit better.

Yep I had the same email this morning about my CE, w00t! :w00t:

I'm not too fussed if it doesn't arrive on the day (it's a Tuesday anyway so I'll be busy working no doubt) as long as I have it in time for the weekend for lots of the highly anticipated hack 'n' slash :bounce:

Anyone who ordered this from Game/Station, cancel it and order from somewhere else cus you got about 8 days until they go into "rumoured" administration.

Mine was shipped from play on friday but I haven't got it yet :(  Not too bothered thought as I want to get through Mass Effect 2 first, which is why I'm playing Crysis 2 on my Xbox at the mo lol

There has been some issue that people with processors running at less than 2.8ghz find the game refuses to work or even install. They are hoping to get a bugfix for it.

In the mean time some people are threatening to sue.

Anyone have one of those guest passes? I'm gonna buy this but couldn't get out the house when it came out and its sold out everywhere.

I'm also not enthusiastic about paying a £10 premium for being able to download the game from Blizzard.

I too considered the vanilla download as i don't care if i have a boxed copy or any of the other junk that gets bundled and the same as you i was gobsmacked that you get charged £10 more for the privilege.

Guess i'll wait until it gets put on sale now, which is a shame cus i love auction houses. :D

I didn't even know there were guest passes? My CE got bundled with WoW guest passes but I couldn't give two hoots about those.

I would say if you can buy a proper copy do so, I haven't wanted to stop playing but I have to work tomorrow and I've smashed the Skel King with my lvl 10 barb, so it seems as good a time as any to call it an evening!

I got my copy yesterday, it had a WoW guest pass and 2 other ones in but I haven't had a chance to even install it yet, maybe sounds like a good idea to wait a few days there seems to be some 'teething' problems.

Russell could I get one of those codes if you're in the mode for being a kind soul.

Anyone think it is really daft that they had to introduce server queing 1st day?
Anyone think it is crazy that people are getting game lag?
Anyone find it log you can not login some times?

For a single player game!
Title: Re: Diablo III
Post by: Clock'd 0Ne on May 17, 2012, 12:02:26 PM
I've had no lag and I have what feels like the worst connection in Britain. However, I have been disconnected once and lost a decent item I'd just picked up

Not the end of the world, but it seems bloody stupid that you should have to worry about being disconnected in single player. They'll fix the teething issues in no time so I'm not bothered, the game is as awesome as expected. It's probably got more people trying to hammer it this week than WoW, I'm not surprised they are working on balancing servers.
