For me it depends on the game, in GTA:SA (in fact I havent finished any of the 3D GTAs) I never really got all that far, I spent far too much time messing about, but with games like Zelda, Final Fantasy or Mario I always explore every last bit of the game (like getting 120 stars in Mario 64). :)
How about you?
I havent done recently, apart from lego star wars 2
100% complete on that
fantastic game
getting there on crackdown too
I play until the difficulty level makes the game lose its fun factor. Then I leave it for a while and move on to something else normally.
Jaimz
Latelly its, play it finish it, then add it to the pile.
Latelly no game has had me craving to go nuts and do everything in it. The last time that happened was maybe Final Fantasy 8.
I play until im bored of the game.
There arent that many good games worth playing for even more than 5 mins, let alone finish.
i tend to play through to the finish, then mess around. My plan for stalker is to pick every single thing up, then once ive finished the game ill actually get a trainer and go through it using nothing but a knife and pistol :D
I used to go to the end with all games, now I get bored to easily.
The last one I finished was Fear I think.
Tried it with the 3d GTA games and it just got mind numbingly painful that it became a chore..
I never did finish Super Mario 64 completely.. I dont know why though!
I think I fully completed Mario Kart 64 back in the day..
completed main storylines of GTA3 and GTA vice city
havent bothered doing every single side line, firetruck, pizza boy, unique stunt etc.. to get full 100% completion (some people clearly have no social life tbh..)
Am on the final mission of GTA:SA (well I was about this time last year) - Ive just not bothered attempting it again since the first couple of times.
I tend to just have a bit of a free roam if I ever load up the games again or simply replay some of my favorite missions from them.
Have got liberty city stories and will buy vice city stories too soon.
I completed GTA3 and VC as well as a lot of the side missions and secrets but with SA I had gotten to the very last mission when my xbox HDD died on me, when I got a replacement I just played till I unlocked the 3 islands and couldn't be arsed to go any further.
Not since the first COD/UO multiplayer have I really played a game religiously. I probably easily clocked about 600 -700 hours on vCOD and over 1000 hours on UO, the thing is that was my first really good online multiplayer experience which I had not had before (56k), now having played a lot of multiplayer since I doubt I will ever be that obsessed about a game again as it more or less been there done that.
on games like GTA i do all the main missions but dont really bother with all the pickups etc.
same with shooters really, i did all the easy and medium level on GOW but couldnt be bothered with the COGs or hard level. same with Halo, although i played most of it in legendary.
the only game which i completely finish are stratagies, like C&C but that is basically because all you have to do it play the missions, there isnt anything extra.
I spent more time with the rocket launcher, moreammo & copsbgone cheats than anything else on gta, the missions get silly after a while. Anything with a time limit annoys me, its lazy way of dragging out a game.
ff7 I got all the characters to l99 and beat everything without using a guidebook :whoops: Apart from that, wot egg says really. Play games for 10-15yrs/whatever and theres nothing new.
Id take a snes and a ps1 over any next-gen thing tbh.
Mario Kart
Super Metroid
Wipeout2097
Killa Instinct
FF7
GT2
Thats all you need.
