QuoteWere sorry, you have exceeded your maximum number of licence issues.
So right, Ive rebuilt my pc a few times so Ill go pay for 300 tracks again and not download them illegally.
K
WTF caused that? Ive never seen anything like that before
Stuff I got from http://www.7digital.com/
Apparently you can only activate them 3 times, then theyre useless.

buy CDs instead of digital tracks ;)
CDs last me about 2months before they get skipping, its a design on par with usb plugs.
I have cds dating back 15 years.
Look after them properly and dont clean them with sandpaper.
And anyone who pays for tracks instead of buying a CD is a muppet.

Purchase, copy to CDR, rip to HDD, keep the original safe :)
Then you wont lose everything when a HDD packs in.
Wot clockd said :P
I get LPs, then download the mp3s.
A lot of new vinyl albums offer free mp3 download codes. :ptu:
Just listened to an album last night I got in 81. Sounded perfect, as theres no temptation to have them rattle around in the car door pockets. :D
since when do you have a car vinyl player? >_<
Exactly.

I currently rip with CDex at VBR 2, 128-320kbps and 44100hz. Any reccomendations on improving this? I just picked reasonable sounding values, but I guess I could probably get better quality/filesize using something else
Those should be fine if youre not after transparent quality. Id switch to using EAC instead of CDex.
My computer had problems with EAC back in the day, so I went for CDex. Might give it another go though.

EAC and FLAC here :)
If youre a real anti-drm/open formats zealot/piratey king, then you rip to OGG, the format of champions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogg). :P
I still use CDex, although Ive kinda started using iTunes for convenience. Just make sure your lame dll is up to date since CDex has one going back about two years.

Unless your player wont handle them, in which case you just rip to MP3 like you have always done :P
