I vaguely recall something about internet access on the DS lite allowing online play with other players... How? what games? and what do I have to do? :D lol.
Im not sure if it was this forum or the old one. But there was a thread in here with everyones friends codes.
Each game that is capable of online play gives you a unique ID. If you want to play against some one specifically, share codes.

I have pinned it again ;)
Thinking of making a locked link thread for the code threads so they dont get lost :)
So what are the must have games for this beastie then? :)
Mario Kart is a given I guess, planning on picking up that tomorrow if I can. Metroid any good on it?
I didnt particularly enjoy Metroid myself.. thought the controls were too arkward, but alot of my friends have.
New Super Mario Bros - Probably the best game out for the DS!
Mario Kart (obviously)
Star Fox Command (brilliant game! Really enjoyed it)
Super Mario DS - Like Super Mario 64.. but a bit different ;)
Sure theres some more.. Just cant think of any at the moment.
Its a shame that my DS has gone walkies.. By walkies, I mean stolen :(
prob the same games as you could get on the NES, GB, GBA, GBC, SNES, N64, GC - theyre all the same (With the names altered to include the system name)....
Went and bought a few games for it today.
I now own.
New Mario Bros
Cars
Pirates of the carribean
Mario Kart DS
Metroid
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Mario Bros: Rocks
Cars: is sh*te
Pirates: meh... its alright.
Mario Kart: good bit of quick fun.
Metroid: good fun
Splinter cell: It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to move in a direction I want to. wtf kinda control configuration is that?! bloody nightmare.
One problem, cant seem to get my DS lite to see my wifi network at home.

Takes a bit of fiddling about, they can only use WEP, so if like any sane person you are using WPA for your network, youll have to slum it down to WEP for it to work.
Dont even use wep at home :) router crashes if I turn it on.
Tried it with just nothing on at all... and it still just doesnt see it. Ive sat next to the access point and its not even registering that there is one there, let alone trying to connect to it.
I had no problem configuring cornholios DS for a Belkin Wireless access point a while back. But for the life of me I havent been able to get my brothers DS lite to detect my Netgear DG834G. :?
Think there may be a problem or something maybe. hmmm googling shall be done I think.
hmmph... nintendowifi.co.uk forums are full of people who have the same problem. it just doesnt "see" the router. Appears theres a compatibility list involved.

I have a DG834G v3 and it sees that fine. The trick is, in the Wireless Settings --> Setup Access List area, the DS must be listed as allowed before any gubbins can be played over wireless.
Update.
I got round to updating the firmare on my V2 DG834G to version 3.01.31.
Ds lite now sees and connects to the router with no problems.
