Title: DVB-T - Vista MCE
Post by: soopahfly on March 05, 2007, 13:50:09 PM
Does anyone know of a reasonably priced DVB-T Freeview card/usb that will work with Vista MCE?

I have one of these (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?TabID=1&ModuleNo=48873&doy=5m3), and in the description it says its Windows MCE compatible. I also know you can get BDA drivers for it so it should definately work with XP MCE, dunno about vista though.

Whats the signal quality/picture quality like on that?

Ive got a 20db amplified freeview aerial too.  Seen that usb thing on the bay.

I use one of these,

Bit fiddly getting the drivers to work as Hauppauge havent completely sorted them yet but it is a decent piece of hardware. Worked very well under MCE2005.

Had bad experiences with Hauppage, and I didnt trust the cheapass ones on ebay.

So I plumped with a name I know.

Pinnacle.  PCTV DVB-T PCI.

So far, installation has been pain free!
