My college is messing me about loads, anyway i have roughly two weeks to learn a language that needs to be able to do the following:
use arp to monitor what computers are on what switches, obtain mac addresses, compare the mac addresses against a database of some sort and use SNMP to terminate the connection.
reckon its possible? or just give up now?

I heard in the US that many football players took swedish as
second language because it was easy.
Might be just about possible if you use something vastly high-level with a good network library?! Dont know really, Id look at something like C# maybe?
