Title: eeePC 900 modern distro
Post by: Mongoose on June 12, 2013, 22:26:33 PM
My eee 900 is still sitting on Ubuntu 8.10, and I'm feeling like it could do with something newer for securitys sake if nothing else (its main use is to accompany me to foreign parts when I don't want to take a full size laptop.)

Alas, ubuntu 13 doesn't support the Celeron M, and has become bloated to the point it wont install in the smaller 4GB ssd.

Any recommendations for a good, well supported distro which will fit nicely into 4GB, so I can keep the 16GB SSD for photos?

Linux Mint? Thats the that I've read about a few times. Think it isnt bloated like Ubuntu too.
