Title: Formatting hard drive without XP disk?
Post by: Kunal on February 28, 2008, 20:03:49 PM
When ever I run my XP disk to format/reinstall Windows on my laptop I get stuck at the "searching for previous versions of windows" screen.

Can anyone recommend a way for me to create a bootable CD that I can use to format my hard drive?

just do a full delete on the partitions, make sure there are none at all rather than just reformatting the ones that are there.  Then creat new partitions, and you shouldnt have the issue.

It doesnt get as far as selecting partitions, so I cant do this.
