Looks like it could be returning!
About time too, theres a massive gap for a show like this, its not like the popularity of gamings got smaller since the shows demise!
We have the internet now, thus rendering it rather pointless. It also wont have Sir Patrick Moore. :disappointed:
I still have the Gamesmaster special on VHS somewhere, where they had Kasumi ninja and soft porn games
Patrick Moore and Dominick Diamond made the show what it is, a rehash would not be the same at all. That and the deathmatch setups.

Patrick Moore plays the xylophone yknow.
IF, and that is a big IF, they can get exclusives before anyone else like they used to then people will watch it, reviews wise, people will take note of that, the gaming industry back then was a mere fledgling to what it is now and gaming isnt as taboo as it used to be.
It pretty much needs to jump in both feet and establish itself as the big daddy, all it needs is a witty formula, genuine interaction with the gaming populous via tournaments, challenges for the golden joystick :heehaw: a strong online presence to back up the show and some half decent guests (Im sure a ton of famous people play games now) and they would have to make a massive hash of it to fail.
Dominik Diamond quit I believe as they had all took the show as far as it could, but that was a long long time ago, I reckon he could pick up where he left off in a heartbeat, if he would want to, how knows.
I bet they get that lisping bald bloke from Gadget show.
never got the point of the show.. watching people play computer games..
rather be playing them
I used to love it. Who was that chap, Dave something. The expert.
I went to Gamesmaster Live, the original and the first, it was either NEC or Earls Court, i was younger back then, was a long time ago.
Got loads of cheap games, think i had a Megadrive at the time, remember standing around EA store and buying Road Rash.

I could understand it back then, but these days with growth of multiplayer, I just don't see that element of the show working.
I used to watch it "back then" as there were less games around generally, which meant the chances of them covering a cheat or uber strat for a game I owned was pretty high. I agree Itd be interesting maybe if they could link it to an online presence. Would be interesting if they could make it so that they had live video from some organised matches. They could have open tournaments, and part of the show could have highlights from the qualifiers before cutting to the final round, or something.
Mind you I think watching multiplayer games without playing yourself is akin to watching any sport on the TV. Interesting for the first little bit, and then its just boring.
zypder exactly, if they cut to the final, you would be talking about the absolute BEST players in the game, so even if it took up 5 minutes in a deathmatch for example, youre pretty much guaranteed to see people being ridiculously good at it, that alone would be interesting for 5 mins 8-)
