Quote from: knightyyeah those fans are a bit expensive... (I forgot to look at price lol)

what about these ?
http://www.tekheads.co.uk/s/product?product=606359
half the price, theyre 20db instead of 8 (and iirc, that means 4 times as much noise!) tho tbh.. theyre quiet as hell, so you wont be able to hear them anyway ;)

for the m/b blocks... these look like they should fit in well too...  http://www.tekheads.co.uk/s/product?product=608379  tho theyre quite expensive at £30 a pop :o

youll need some hose clips too... a quick google found them here... http://www.dieselveg.com/hose_clips.htm (you want the very top ones) most other places are trying to charge £1.20 each for them ! (which is a total rip)

as for the hose fittings... youre going to need a set for the cpu, 1 for the gfx, 2 for the m/b, 1 for the res, 1 for the rad, so 6 of those :o  (this is where the cost of all the little things starts adding up!)

for water... just use tap water, but add at least 40% anti-freez to it (it stops corosion) you should be able to get it from any garage... theres two different types... you want the blue stuff  (tbh the other stuff is hardly used these days anyway, and you probably couldent find it if you wanted to!)

and you need to pm my your address so i can send you some hose ;)

edit: just read Kris reply... and dont want to slag tek off (because i really like the store tbh) but special coolant type stuff is only really any use if you want bright / uv water etc... otherwise tap water is just as good ;)

tho kris might be able to point you to some adaptors to fit a HD into a CD drive bay and save you on the postage from somewhere else?

Thanks knightly.. I think I have all I need now right? Although I was shocked on the total of my basket. went way over my budget. Ill be leaving out the chipset blocks for now (although I will keep in mind the ones you recommended)
Thanks for the recommendation Kris, will give it a go. Though I have 3 HDD and I understand a pair will only fit 2?

Shakey

Id suggest de-ioised water over tap water, theres less crap in it, and 1L is only 55p from wilkos :) (youd still need to add antifreeze to it)

yeah thats everything :)

and yeah, youll need 2 of those HD thingies :o

p.s. I forgot to say before about the ram cooling.... yeah, youll need a fan there even if its not overclocked, ram doesent produce much heat, but without any airflow it just heats up and heats up untill your pc crashes :(

(with no m/b blocks youll need some airflow over those heatsinks anyway :o )

Paulus

I think Ive come a bit late to this thread.

How about one of my reservoirs for the DDC pump ? it would keep things compact.

I would not use tap water! Its worth spending the extra extra 45p and going for de-ionized instead. Either that or just get some feserone.

knighty

that is a nice looking res :-)

pah, tap water is fine, have been using it for years !
(with 40% anti freeze)

:p

Cheers :D I just got some test results back today and Ive had a permanent grin on my face  :nana:

Its ok if your using 40% antifreeze and water but thats going to decrease the performance. If your using antifreeze I would go for a lower concentration with de-ionized water or use feserone. Feser one is a decent price compared to fluid-xp or similar liquids.

lol thats a blast from the past. There was a bit of edrama surrounding that dude, but I cant remember what now.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.
