...from a local game store and got back home and realised it was NTSC version. I thought "Oh no it wont work!".
Anyway tried it and popped the disc in the 360 and it worked.
Now I thought that PS3 was the only console to have region-free gaming at the moment.
I swear I have heard fa about region free gaming on the 360, unless I missed something, or is it one of the new features on the Elite cos I got one of them?

So Sonys claims to be the first to have region-free gaming was false then. Now I never knew that till today that Xbox 360 was actually the first.
Maybe I can search eBay or Amazon to get NTSC games which we dont even see released over here. :D

We had threads etc about the 360 region free games before the ps3 was even released
Shame you got ridge racer which is a pile of crap compared to the other 360 driving games
Not all games are region free so use the sites that list them

Had Ridge Racer 7 on PS3 (before sold it off and PS3) and thought it was rubbish. In my opinion, Ridge 6 is miles better and easier to play.

Technically the 360 includes reagion coding so that publishers can decide whether they want to restrict games or not.
The PS3 doesnt have region coding for games only Bluray. So I guess that could be used if the game was actually published on BluRay rather than DVD. (Even at the end a lot of PS2 games were released on CD rather than DVD as there wasnt much need for more.)

As far as Im aware, all PS3 games come on Blu-ray discs.
They do, all games come on blue ray for security cus they all have the sony licensed drm on them
Wasnt sure on that part I have to be honest. So they could region code the games but dont bother.
One in the box for Sony then I guess...maybe
