Title: Graphics card...
Post by: mr_roll on August 24, 2007, 21:54:44 PM
Im thinking of getting an AGP card for my computer, just need an update I think my current one is pretty crap and getting out dated, got a 9600SE and isnt that good.

So I was thinking of somthing like this:

What do you all think? Please, I really only want ATi cards, unless its a sweet deal on another maker.

Look pretty good for the money, ~£few would get a 1950 which is apparently way better, ~£inbetween gets a good 7600gt which might be worth finking about.

I couldnt find the X1950 AGP ones but now I have, so I might get one of those and 2 x 1GB of Cruicial PC3200 RAM and thatll tide me over for a while and save me from buying a whole new system.

not really worth updating tbh unless you run some pretty intensive stuff...

I am thinking of that, but Ive had nightmares with Nvidia in the past when cards just wont work with some of my previous setups.

I dont know how far back your going but in the last year or more, I think nvidia have got the better of ati in there drivers and graphic cards. Its never been a problem for me, but its up to you.
