Now this is not exactly new, but watched it yesterday.
I came away with such hatred but for the young girl! I was actually left feeling sick .... v disturbing!
Has anyone else seen it?
Yes. Worst film Ive ever seen, came away with the same feeling of disgust and hatred of the film makers. I felt it was just making you sit through horrifying torture and punishment, and then supposedly justifying it by suddenly saying "oh he was a really bad person" at the end. No explanation as to who the girl was, how she knew what she did or anything that would have made the story remotely coherent. What is more, no suspense, no music building tension, no natural dialogue.
Just because a film is an ordeal to watch, doesnt mean its actually remotely good.
It was utter sh*te imo.
Jaimz
One of the best films of the year imho.
If you thought it was poor, perhaps snakes on a mf plane is more up your street :D

Its a contained one act film, its not meant to have too much music or explosions or car chases.

The film made it quite clear she was a friend of the murdered girl, and had been chatting to the guy on the internet, where he was blatently just trying to chat her up because she was 14.

Its quite clever after that bit where he escapes and when she electrocutes him again she rightly says, "innocent people dont come looking for me - they run off to the police" or some such.

You knew he was a bad person from very early on - when she opens the safe its pretty clear then he is a paedo.
I thought Patrick (cant remember his second name) played it really well. As happens all the time in real world, hes a likeable guy with a respectable job, but has a disease or evil streak (depending on your point of view) in that he is a paedo.
Go Sam its your post count, its your post count, its your post count!

The Post Office says its good to post! :D
Although I think they were talking about letters...
Watched this over the weekend, superb film imo.
Ellen page played the part of the relatively normal girl driven to an act of unthinkable revenge and trying to hold her convictions together really well IMO.
As for the torture etc, its all basically implied - horrifying idea I agree, but made for a an emotive film.
