Title: HDD Image Dumping Software
Post by: MustangGT on August 06, 2007, 13:03:56 PM
Hi All,

Are there any good programs out there that will allow me to save an image of my working HDD? At work we use the IBM rapid restor program but it only works on IBM machines...

The reason i need this is, i am really fed up with re-formatting my hdd and installing everything back from scratch; lately my laptop has screwed up twice in the space of 6 months, and i just cant be bothered any more... :( :(

If i configure it one more time from scratch, i really want to save it as an image  as a precaution..

Thanks

MGT

I would say use windows back-up its free....

....no not really, use Acronis, its the nuts, and if you boot from the CD you dont even have to have anything installed in windows, you can just install on the hidden partition!
