We all knew Organic LED was the way to go and was going to be kick ass but just from pictures - holy crap!
I envy SteveF I am sure he has seen some shizzle stuff recently
Expensive now but the future for sure and since your not back lighting better for the old planet probably.
Stunning pictures though, just wow.
Movie and tv makers alike I am sure are crapping their pants further, things will have to be perfect in every sense of the word otherwise we will see them clear as day.
I am sure some here will be thinking "Porn will be mint" already, dirty gits.

This is good as oled technology advances the maximus optimus will drop in price or maybe another company will produce a similiar keyboard.....
samsung have an oled panel too, looks very impressive but ive heard some arnt convinced on their lifespan at the moment.

11" is already on sale... £1300, was released at the start of the CES
3mm thick, twin HDMI ports (arent they thicker than 3mm!) & sony memory stick slot
Everyone says the samsung Oled will be king, Samsung actually showing off a new style for their tvs as well at CES, gone is the shiny black
OLED as anything first lot will be cool but not last long but as the tek grows it will be fine like everything else and I see them being the standard for some time

Sony already use samsung LCD screens.. dont be suprised if these OLEDs are from the same place
These look amazing, when can i get one ?
gaming on these though, crysis or 360 game like mass effect etc , OOOOH YES
Those infinite contrast kuros look more appealing. Im not going to buy a flat panel for a few years, then get a monster...
Id love one of the 27" for my bedroom.

just dont see the point in them, if you want to sit and watch a video clip or a film you sit in front of a tele or at a PC !! or for what the watches are probably worth you buy a portable mp4 player for around £50 and you will even get a 7" screen to watch it on. the oled technology isnt going to make a huge difference when you are talking screen sizes like these.

Untrue, OLED is very very important and will be standard in terms of small devices for a lot of reasons, yes it is expensive now but its new, things are but in due time these will be everywhere in small devices.
- No back light so thinner and not only that uses less power
- Good for teach and even the up and coming touch vibration screens
- Flexible
- Bright (sunny day you can still see your screen)
The watches in the video are demonstrational, you would not watch something on your watch like that but digitally you can have your time, stop watching and because its thin more room for things for say sportsman to show possible maps of your route and running data etc, Nike is apparently working with some tech companies on such a watch
So your right about videos but your wrong in terms of OLED use in terms of small screens, the optimus keyboard for examples shows another use for small screen displays

This was a problem with some of the earlier organics used in producing them, as time goes on their reputation will improve and the OLEDs will get better. Main problem is that they are new, with huge amounts of research $ to pay back. Initially that means high prices, but I expect that they will drop quickly over the next few years.
By that point we should be seeing huge screens reduced to the thickness of a laminated paper sheet and flexible, so you can just roll one up and take it with you.
