Title: Home Audio distribution system
Post by: andy[tek] on March 18, 2008, 21:45:49 PM
Hi all

Im looking into a having audio in all rooms apart from the lounge centralised via a PC. Ive found some really neat speakers for the ceiling and Im looking to distribute audio to 2 other rooms apart from the main source. Im redecorating now so its the time to do it :)

Has anyone found a relatively cheap way of doing this?

Do you want to be able to control the audio from each room, and have different audio in each room?

If not just split the signal between the rooms (might have to use some fancy solution for that, but wont be half as hard as if you said yes to the two questions above).

My folks have Linn audio gear in most of the rooms - you CAN get it cheap sometimes on ebay.

yeah, all I want to do is split the signal between rooms and switch between radio and mp3. I wont need the option to play different music in each room just centralise the pc and then just play it in different rooms.

ive already found some really good ceiling 20w rms speakers on ebay for 20quid a pair

you only use 1 room in your house anyway :)

cheaper just to turn the volume up if you go into your "games room"
