Title: Home Design Software
Post by: andy[tek] on November 12, 2006, 16:21:38 PM
Hi all

I am looking for some software for designing a new kitchen. The software which Mfi and the like use would be great. Anyone recommend any names which would be suitable.

well if you want drag and drop stuff done yeah sure use the mfi software or the ikea software. if you need custom unit making if you drop me a pm with your requirements and i can see what i do.

i do a degree in computer aided product design, and have done kitchen/workspace design before.

Did it myself a couple of years back. If you are doing new electricals though watch out for the government, work in the kitchen is one area specifically covered by the new part P regulations that came into force Jan 1st 2005 and they are nasty.

TBH its a way for the electrical organisations to get their hands in the pockets of electricians and legally pull out wodges of money but the same can apply to DIYers.
