Post by: ERU on July 28, 2006, 20:52:36 PM
Im going around a friends house tomorrow to sort a problem with his computer. Over the phone he explained that whenever he goes on a secure website he cant access them correctly as someone has messed with his settings possibly.

Now i need to ensure i deffo fix this so will need all the possible solutions. Im expecting it to be pretty easy to sort but computer always have a funny habbit of not being easy.

Not much you can do except fiddle with the tick boxes on the security page, the privacy page, and the advanced page in settings.

To be honest.

Well unless he is on a domain and has some wierd messed up GPO disabling SSL access.

Could do mate, but thats treating the symptom not the problem :P lol.

But it should work if you get desperate for a solution. :)

sounds like the people i work for now.

Check that you have latest version of Java Enabled, that TLS and SSL are all ticked and add the site to Trusted Sites with no restrictions if the site is known to be trustworthy.
