Hi all,
My partner has been bought a iPod dock player but does not have an iPod put in it. I've NEVER owned anything from Apple but I am aware of different generations doing different things. What is the best MP3 player to get for it? Most of my 'backup' MP3 files are kept on my computer and I'd like to use them. I have zero intention of installing iTunes, so will need/want something that is simple to plug in (no drivers) and copy'n'paste into. What should I buy? Does an iPod dock adapter exist?
Is it not possible for her to return it? As far as I am aware docks specifically labelled for iPods tend to only work with iPods, Got a link/name of the product so we can investigate?
It's a Sony Micro Hi-Fi component system CMT-BX70DBi
We can't take it back as it's a present and we've had it a while now. Gathering dust!

Most will have an AUX input if you dont want to use the specific dock, although you'll need to check how to connector works.
I'd suggest getting an iPod to be honest, there are good third party alternatives which mean you don't need iTunes installed. They're good solid players with a lovely interface, you do pay for it though.
Or you might already have a phone that can do the job?
Ok, what is a good suggestion (2nd hand is also ok) for something up to or around about £100 ?
Is this any good:
