I have a zune, and i want to be able to charge it without a usb port (i.e. when i go to spain and dont take laptop).
i know theres little adapters you can get for ipod that plug into a mains socket and just have a usb socket on the back, will that work for a zune? I mean usb is all the same power supply?
theres no zune adapters really available in the uk because it aint out over here yet.
As long as you use a USB to USB cable from the plug then I dont see why it shouldnt work.
That being said I would imagine there is some sort of mains adaptor on the market. It would be silly if there wasnt one.
It should work. Unless the zune has some stupid inbuilt software routine whereby it wont charge unless it handshakes over the bus first or something, like one of my old phones.
Give it a go, theyre only a couple of quid off fleabay.

PuNk, on a sidenote, what do you think of your Zune? Ive got a black one coming, managed to pick it up for £102 :mrgreen:

hmmm a mate has a usb ipod thing so im gunna test his!
and the zune is wonderful, i went from an ipod nano to the zune (also black) cost me £150 on buyitnow.
i effing love it, its sexy it sounds great, lots of space, movies are where it comes into its own, ive tried to use an ipod video, it was crap, but the zune does it
the software is crap (and you need a windows live account that not british!) it crashes a lot.
Esp. considering its first gen, im very impressed and i love it to bits haha.
