that the moderator of this forum is mardoni, who hasn't been online for.... over a year.
good job we follow the rules isnt it!!!
It's all very mellow round here these days, I never have to edit a post any more. The ban hammer has been locked in the cupboard gathering dust. ;D
It's a little sad that even a moderator doesn't bother to say "toodle pip folks, nice knowing you but I'm leaving" before vanishing. but hey-ho.

just close the place & put it out of its misery.
Why? Enough people are happy still coming here and posting (including yourself). It's not like its costing me an arm and a leg to keep going. I still use the forum search all the time to look stuff up from ages ago.
maybe rejig it. speakers corner - which has had tons of members throw out their toys & leave hasnt had a post for 3 months.
Bring back waffle. And the testing forum!
This place is almost like "Cheers". A small bunch of regulars hanging out.
There should be a final Tekcrasher, with everyone still here, attending, at some point in the future. It'd be an interesting change from our younger days. Many of us are 12+ years older than when we first started here!
I check forum most days but post rarely , still very interested in overclocking but the rig i built 4yrs or so ago is
still fast enough for anything i need & cannot justify the huge costs of pushing new kit to the limit.
I do like the mellow feel , usually very friendly.Much better than the "flame" everything forums i also use .

I think a trim/consolidation would make the place look more active, not that it isn't active
I'm happy to entertain all ideas on a rejig. I can easily move Speaker's Corner posts to General Discussion and retire it, for instance.
I'm also happy to attend another Tekcrasher somewhere, it's just a shame the last few times we've tried to arrange it they never really got off the ground! Anyone that didn't go to Zpyder's hosted 'crasher missed out IMO, a good laugh was had by all
maybe photography, sports, hobbies & interests can be merged?
photography is quite active, but sports & hobbies isnt.
Well are these forums what people need now? Is there something more modern and dynamic people could be using and interacting more with?
What, like Facebook, etc? Social Networks are not geared for large group discussions and as collective resources.
Forums still have a place IMO, there's hundreds of massively popular and active forums still going strong. Not everyone wants to instagramyface their dinner to all their friends and show off their xbox achievements.
I hate social media.
i like that somebody liked a post about hating social media. ironic.
Haha it was intentional, was wondering if anyone was going to notice
I came to the internet years ago to get away from people and look what has happened! :disappointed:
