Too much imo but then like the very first comment after teh article says:
QuoteIf 3 million people are willing to shell out $500+ on an ipad, believe me, there will be many times that number of people willing to shell out $200 for this
I wont be one of them though. Shame as I was looking forward to using it as a media remote control !

Its all true, if the dumbasses didnt pay for all these patches/DLC we would still be getting them for free, the gaming market has expanded massively, just a shame half the gamers these days have more money than sense.
fact is I have yet to see a game for it I would want to play. Ive not touched my wii in ages so I doubt MS will be getting any more money from me any time soon for the kinect.
That is a lot of cash for what is essentially a controller which will only work with 1-3% of games.. Surely the kinect system revolves around what is in essence a humble videocamera?
I feel sorry for the idiots who blow $200 on the Kinect. I am willing to bet the manufacturing and development costs for each Kinect is less than $100, probably a fair bit less... Yet another example of a greedy company skimming the market.
I pre-ordered this, but if this official pricing point comes over with the usual uk conversion rate making it £150 odd they can bollocks.
