Dapper is good on bling, with a little effort

My Splash Screen

I dont know how to take a picture of the Graphical Greeter, but its just as nice looking at the moment, same format as the splash & wallpaper. Heres the sample from the website I got it from:

8) Vista will look pretty ugly by the time it comes out with Linux advancing so fast in the bling department! (how naughty of me to use a Vista type application style though  ) but I fancied making things all green & blue and the like !

OMG, transparent windowmanager themes!111!.

Thats a default KDE background, btw.

SVG icons are cool when youre making a desktop for the sight or thinking impaired. Scale the firefox button to 300x300 and tell them to "click there for porn". :D

Transparency looks lovely, but it cant be that comfortable to read around after a while though? The best readability is born of cotrast is it not?

Transparency is totally candy.

I only use it in terminals, as Im commonly not doing anything more than a single line command and its pleasant to see something pretty behind the scrolling text after I

$ sudo aptitude install -pity foo*
