Title: Linux Media Center
Post by: soopahfly on July 13, 2006, 09:05:59 AM
We got busted at work for having music on the work pc, so weve been pillaging and found an old Celeron system which were going to use as a media center.

I installed Geexbox, and it lasted all of about 15 mins before we were looking for an alternative.  Theres no random play, theres no play entire hdd feature, its just crap.

I tried to install Ubuntu on it and it hangs loading up into the live cd bit.

Any other options?  Were just after a nice easy standalone media center os, thats not hungry on the resources and can cope with playlist shuffling.
